Recruitment and Retention in Clinical Trials- Best Practices
Recruitment and retention of subjects into clinical trials can be a long and difficult process. Identifying the target population, qualifying and enrolling patients, and keeping them engaged in the trial can consume valuable time and resources. It's imperative that the process of planning for recruitment and retention begin prior to the study start up. This presentation will explore the common challenges in the recruitment and retention of subjects in clinical trials and offer best practices to ensure successful outcomes.
At the end of the presentation, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe barriers to success in subject recruitment and retention in clinical trials.
2. Identify strategies that can be implemented to maximize recruitment and retention in clinical trials.
3. Develop recruitment and retention plans that target and cultivate patient engagement.
